Do I really need a wedding MC?

Short answer or long answer? In a nutshell, if an organised, seamless & well managed wedding reception is important to you, then yes. A professional MC will be able to provide this for you. And don’t worry, if I’m not available, I’m happy to recommend other MCs too. 

What’s your Covid Policy?

I have not missed a wedding to date, and am happy to move with you to your new date if needed. We can chat more about the other ‘what if’ scenarios when you meet me. 

Are you a celebrant?

No I’m not a wedding celebrant, but let me know what kind of celebrant you’re after, and I’ll be happy to recommend some to you. 

What languages do you speak? 

English, conversational Indonesian and greetings in others

Are you a wedding co-ordinator?

Whilst there is a bit of co-ordination that I do at a wedding, there’s only so much one person can do, so if you want someone to man the wishing well, collect party favours, set up,  pack down or logistics work, I am happy to recommend some trusted wedding co-ordinators. 

How long will you be at the venue for?

I’ll be there an hour prior to the reception start time, and then drop the mic right up until the end of the party.  With the amount of preparation we do together prior to your event, between the consult, emails, watssapp messaging or DMs, everything will be ironed out so you guys won’t have any stress face in sight on the big day. 

What are your fees like?

This all is dependant on the location, timing and type of function. Overall it’s a per event basis rather than hours at the reception. There’s a lot of preparation and collaboration that goes on before the actual event. If you are looking for a an experienced presence at your wedding, contact me and we can chat more about it. 

Do you sing? 

Yes, I do. I think everyone can, but let’s just agree that you wouldn’t pay me to sing! In all seriousness, I am happy to recommend specialist wedding entertainment, whether it’s a band, musical duo, fire breathers, lion dancers, magicians, drawing artists, pyrotechnics, florists… you name it – I’ll help you! 

I really want my friend to MC at my wedding. Can you teach them?

Still convinced that you’d like a close friend or relative to MC for your big day? No worries at all, I offer one on one consults, where we can go through the fundamentals of public speaking, insider wedding tips wedding knowledge, so they’re fast tracked to be a competent wedding MC.
(Like my dad always said: “Learn from other’s mistakes, so you don’t make the same one”)

Do you travel outside of Sydney? 

Yes, I am a Sydney MC, and yes I do travel to regions outside of metropolitan Sydney, interstate and overseas too. Travel and accommodation costs incurred would be in addition to the MC fee.
